# What Are Gas Fees?

Gas fees are network transaction fees which act as the primary incentive and provide rewards to validators on the network.

Gas fees are paid directly to the validators and MetaHi has no authority to control or moderate these fees.

Through our partnership with Polygon chain, we were able to eliminate nearly all gas fees. In terms of gas costs, MetaHi is among the most efficient marketplaces in operation today.
